Dan Kurman · Mobile app development

Mobile app development, from product idea to production.

A mobile product needs more than finished screens. Accounts, data, payments, notifications, and release work have to fit together. I help founders and product teams build a first version, extend an existing app, and keep it moving after launch. Native iOS with Swift is my deepest specialization, with broader delivery across mobile and the systems behind it.

What I can handle

A usable first release

I turn product requirements and designs into complete user journeys. We define the essential flows, what can wait, and the acceptance checks before implementation. Native iOS is my strongest starting point; when Android or another stack is needed, I assess the existing product and the work required.

The systems around the app

I connect UI, authentication, backend services, REST APIs, payments, notifications, and analytics. That includes the less visible work: keeping app and server state consistent, handling interrupted requests, and making failures understandable to the user.

Launch and ongoing development

I handle testing, release preparation, TestFlight feedback, and App Store delivery work. After launch, I can investigate production issues, improve core flows, and build the next features with the existing product and users in mind.

Start with the product’s next useful milestone

Bring the current app or designs, the main user journey, and your launch constraints. I first map what exists across mobile and backend, identify dependencies, and agree on a bounded release. You get working increments with clear validation and handoff, whether I am building the product with you or joining your team.
